Tender Home Care exists because we believe Indiana families deserve compassionate and local support when caring for a loved one at home.

Long before I knew what Structured Family Caregiving was, I saw family caregiving firsthand. My great-grandfather spent the final years of his life living with my grandmother and her family. Like so many caregivers, my grandmother welcomed him into her home and cared for him with patience, dignity, and love.

Years later, my mother helped oversee the care of my grandmother as she aged. Once again, family stepped forward when it mattered most.

I also watched my father dedicate his life to serving others in our community. He spent countless hours helping elderly individuals who had no children to care for them, including a great-aunt in our own family. He taught me that caring for vulnerable people isn't just an obligation. It's one of the most meaningful ways we can serve our neighbors.

Those experiences shaped how I view family, responsibility, and community. As my career progressed, I increasingly felt drawn toward work that reflected those values. I wanted to spend my time helping people, strengthening families, and serving the members of our communities who need support the most.

Then I learned about Indiana's Structured Family Caregiving program. I was amazed by how many families had never heard of it. Every day, family caregivers help loved ones remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Yet many don't realize that support may be available through Indiana Medicaid, or they find the process so confusing that they never pursue it.

That's why I founded Tender Home Care. Our mission is simple: help Indiana families understand their options, navigate the Structured Family Caregiving program, and receive the support they deserve. We believe caregivers deserve honest guidance, clear communication, and a team that genuinely cares about their success.

Most of all, we believe loved ones should have the opportunity to remain at home, surrounded by family, familiarity, and dignity, whenever it is safe and appropriate to do so. If you're caring for someone you love, you're already doing the hardest part. We're here to help with the rest.
